This shallow fluted ceramic dish is hand-thrown, carved, and finished in a mix of slips and glazes before being fired in a wood-fueled kiln. The wood ash and heat variability in the kiln impart a unique texture and pattern of earthy tones. The inside texture is matte with splotches of color while glazes on the outside provide striking textures and contrasts along with the architectural element of the hand-carved scalloped edge.
At 6.5 inches wide and low in profile, it’s a perfect centerpiece and conversation stater. Good for holding trinkets, keys, loose change, of just looking great on it's own. Neutral enough to work with most decor, sculptural enough to stand alone. Note: Wood fired ceramics are not recommended for use with food or liquid as ceramic does not fully vitrify
